I like Macs and have been using them for ages, but I wish my Macbook had a 2 button mouse. wtf? also, now that they're on x86 i can just switch between osx and windows and linux (currently Kubuntu). can't go wrong.

p.s. i would have totally voted for you on valleywag had i known about the poll. you're pretty freakin' cute!

There is no such thing as a "well-configured" version of XP.
You can't configure a virus.

Tom: Good to see your use of quotes, or I might have thought you were serious. I am sure everyone here knows that a well configured version of Windows XP + Cygwin + VMWare trumps all. And yes, Apple, thank you very much for i386.

Users "without a clue" use Windoze. Geeks, on the other hand, who love to burn up incredible amounts of time getting stuff to work, use Linux. But cool people use Macs.

I don't actually use Macs, but I like Mac because it's part of my name... kind of vain, I guess, but it works for me.

Clintus,

it depends on whether you just want a Pro for the sake of having a Pro, or if you actually need the features. If you don't need the ExpressCard slot or the backlit keyboard and can do with a slightly smaller screen, get a MacBook.

Of course, then you couldn't use Lab Tick... ;-)

Cheers,
Alex
