dif: drink in face

I’m really tired of guys saying stupid, sexist things in blog comments. I really wish that every time some jerk says something completely inappropriate I could just snub him. In the physical world I could slap him, toss a drink in his face, or just walk away. Not that I advocate violence, but for some reason dudes think that they can get away with saying almost anything on the internet. Not true.

From now on, I’ll start dif-ing dudes for saying stupid things. DIF is short for ‘drink in face’. Perhaps I’m 10 years too old to be starting 1337 acronyms but something needs to be done about this. If anyone comes up with a better way to put these guys in their place, let me know.

And yes, I know I’m 55378008, but you don’t have to point it out on the internet. dif.

funny you should mention that. I feel the same way about females from time to time. A drink in the face or slap seems a little harsh though, i would settle for an apologetic insult.

“Sorry, I didn’t understand you, you were speaking english right? cause it sounded like your ass was coming out of your mouth.”

btw…lol 1337 h@x0rs can snort and say “if you were a window i’d alt-f4 you with the quickness”

I agree with cannibalrock; guys can say some of the dumbest things ever, but girls have just as much power to wound a guy. Well, a normal guy anyway. I suppose some people just don’t care and it doesn’t bother them. I don’t like sleazy girls myself.

I like it. Short, concise, to the point.

dif is also close to diaf for when they really piss you off. diaf = die in a fire. Harsh, but sometimes needed.

See how unlucky I am… Comments were forbidden few days ago. I had to go through Instructables.com to send you a message

YOU have a computer science degree? I didn’t think I’d ever see a cute girl with a comp sci degree in my life. How is that even possible? Is this a difable comment?

    mmmm,

how about starting a sh…, sorry, blacklist of the violators? You can call it “jerklist”. Lists are popular in the Web 2.0 century ;) See how far Craigslist went?

In any case, if you pursue down that route and Yahoo! buys you out one day, don’t forget my cut!

Wow, I just got to this post on Google Reader and had to say something.

After I met you, I realized that you were a very nice, down to earth “geek”. I remember reading about you on Digg or something before meeting you, and the guys were saying things like “I’d beat” or whatever.

When that new story came on Digg about the Computer Science degree, I read through the comments and just felt bad for you. It’s kind of disgusting how guys on the internet hide behind their screen names; in real life they would be too scared to even look at you :)… Plus Daniel and Kevin can kick all their asses!
