I Can Has Panel

My first appearance on a panel at a conference is the upcoming Community Next Viral Conference. It’s this Saturday, the 14th in Sunnyvale, CA. I posted a Pownce event for it here. I’m really excited to share my first panel with Justin Kan of justin.tv and Eric Nakagawa of icanhascheezburger. LOLZ.

    Leah, you should totally do some updates from the event - didn’t see any webcasts or anything for us interested from afar ;-)

    I saw the invite on pownce, I don’t live in the area but good luck on your first panel. I don’t advise you drink before like the diggnation boys though.

    This probably isn’t the place, but the Pounce entry’s comments were closed…

    I just got my invite for pounce (very excited), but it seems somewhat bland to me. I was half expecting more of an instant messanger system than a message board. Is there any place that I can view what other features are planned or hopeful for the final build? I’m really curious to see what this is supposed to turn into by the time it’s finished.

    Yeah about the drinking thing, Kevin’s actually a robot so thats why his anamatronic liver can take the beer.

    Gz (as the WoWer’s say) on the panel, and I would very much like to be spending time with Sir Eric Nakagawa, our mighty online premier warlord.

    Have fun Miss Leah, back to editing my blog at 1am. Ftw.

    Damn you and your interesting blog, tearing my focus away from “real” work! Seriously, though… It’s inspiring to read posts that share similar thoughts on C.S. schooling, general software design, and other geeky shiznaz–even though they’re already locked, forcing me to drop this out-of-place reply here.

    Oh, and I befriended you on Pownce (no, we’ve never met).

    Cheers!

    Since when do Kevin and Alex ever drink too much?

    @uglyblogger:

    Doesn’t this justin guy have a camera bolted to his head? What more coverage do you want?

    Leah,

    At the airport waiting for my flight home - not sure if you were around for the whole conference but it was pretty good. I’m still marinating in what I took away and I’m sure it’ll be a few days before I solidify it all. Went to pownce.com to see if I could learn more (I’m the clueless guy that asked you what it is) and I’m still struggling to see the differentiator. I’m guessing that I’ll have to wait for the invite to the site so I can go through and really kick it around and see what the excitement is about. It sounds like you’ve got a lot of cool technology built in. Good work and congrats on all of the positive feedback and interest! Best of luck as you grow the business.

    Great job on the panel. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts at the conference. It was a pretty cool and relaxed panel. Good stuff.
    By the way… any chance of there being a pownce API anytime soon
